THE ICONIC JIELDE LAMP

In 1950, Jean-Louis Domecq could not find a lamp suitable for his work as an industrial designer. So he decided to create one himself.

Result: the Loft.

An articulated lamp, without visible wires, solid, functional — designed to last.

Very quickly adopted in workshops and factories, over the years it became an icon of French industrial design , recognizable among thousands by its metal joints and its unique silhouette.

Even today, each lamp is still handcrafted in the Jieldé workshops near Lyon.
